Father: Henry Goddeau, b.1862 in Dannemora, New York, d. 1959 in Pittsfield, MA.  Mother: Louise Madrid, b.Abt 1868 in Dannemora, New York, d. 1895 in Pittsfield, MA.

Mary Elizabeth apparently moved to the Boston area when she was about 20 working as a sales lady.  Based on some sketchy information, she changed her name to Marie Goddard.  She is mentioned in a couple of family obituarys as living in Boston, so some family members kept in touch with her.
