In the accompanying combination photo Elizabeth Crowe Goddeau has been identified in the two images on the right and as the woman on the right of the bottom left image. In those images she is about 25 years old (the top right was her wedding photograph, to Henry Goddeau, in about 1896).
The image in the top left position is of the six Crowe sisters – which one is Elizabeth? A hint would be their relative ages. The years of their birth and their ages, if the youngest in the photo was 14 are:
Yr Born Relative Ages
- Catherine 1856 34
- Julia 1859 31
- Mary Ellen 1866 24
- Elizabeth 1871 19
- Nora 1874 16
- Sarah 1876 14
I’m terrible with guessing peoples’ ages, but there doesn’t seem to be a 20 year difference between the youngest and oldest women in that photo. I even might doubt that the photo is actually of the six Crowe sisters EXCEPT for the picture in the lower left, which is definitely Elizabeth and one of her sisters – the one in the upper left position of the six sisters.
